In 2025, GEUS Bulletin successfully recruited new scientific editors to join our existing team of editors and new members to join the External Editorial Board.
The new scientific editors are
- Dr. Harold Lovell, a Senior Lecturer at the School of the Environment & Life Science, Portsmouth University, UK. Harold joins the cryosphere editors with a focus on climate change, glaciology, glacial geomorphology.
- Dr. Mads E. Jelby, a postdoc in the Department of Geoscience at Aarhus University, Denmark, he will be responsible for submissions on sedimentology, stratigraphy and basin analysis.
- Dr. Margaret Dolan, a Senior Scientist in the Section for Marine Geology, Norwegian Geological Survey (NGU), Norway, was previously a Guest Editor and now joins the regular team to edit marine geoscience, marine geology, marine geodiversity and seabed habitats.
- Dr. Rasmus R. Frederiksen, a Researcher in the Department of Ecoscience – Catchment Science & Environmental Management at Aarhus University, Denmark, joins the hydrology editors, focusing on hydrogeology and freshwater quality.
We further welcome four new members to the External Editorial Board:
- Dr. Ruth Mottram, a climate scientist from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), Copenhagen.
- Prof. Marit-Solveig Seidenkrantz, Head of the Department of Geoscience at Aarhus University, Denmark.
- Prof. Thorkild Maack Rasmussen, Head of the Division of Geoscience and Environmental Engineering at Luleå University, Sweden.
- Dr. Diana Krawczyk, a Senior Scientist from the Greenland Climate Research Centre (GCRC) and the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk.
The new members officially joined the Board following our latest meeting in June 2025.
They join existing Board members, Assoc. Prof. Hoori Ajami (University of California Riverside, USA), Dr. Karen Hanghøj (Director of the British Geological Survey, UK), Prof. Nicolaj Krogh Larsen (GLOBE Institute, Section for Geogenetics, University of Copenhagen, Denmark) and outgoing chairperson Assoc. Prof. Espen Torgersen (Norwegian University of Science & Technology and Geological Survey of Norway, Norway).
Our External Editorial Board meets once a year to oversee and advise on editorial processes, workflow and other journal activities completed over the previous year. They also help the journal to set goals for the year ahead.
GEUS Bulletin extends a warm welcome to all the new editors and Board members and we look forward to working with you all to publish quality Earth Science research in Denmark, Greenland and the North Atlantic.
