Oden, which is over 100 meters in length, is a highly flexible scientific platform that can be adapted for various research expeditions in fields such as oceanography, biology, and geology. Oden is equipped with an advanced multibeam echo sounder, which has been used to map the Arctic seabed on four expeditions on behalf of the Continental Shelf Project of the Kingdom of Denmark (find out more at www.a76.dk).
Researchers and Oden's crew welcome you aboard Oden for Open Ship Day. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the research work and daily life aboard the icebreaker.
Oden will be docked at Frihavnen in Copenhagen (Pier 254, Orientkaj, from Monday to Thursday, 2326 June 2014). Open Ship Day will be held on Tuesday, 24 June from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
