The 6th European Meeting on 3D geological modelling

GEUS is hosting an International meeting about 3D Geological Modeling between 23 May – 26 May 2023 where experience and knowledge will be shared with representatives from Geological Surveys, Universities and the Industry.

Geological modelling for the sustainable society

The main theme for the meeting will be the use of 3D geological modelling for securing a sustainable society in the future and we will focus two session for this topic. We will also dedicate a session in honor of Keith Turner, who had a prominent career within the advancements of geological modelling, but sadly passed away in 2022.

The remaining sessions will cover more general presentations relevant for 3D geological modelling, as e.g. advances in modelling uncertainties, research and software development, model visualization etc. Prior to the conference, there will be a field excursion to the spectacular glaciotectonically deformed chalk cliffs on Møn island, and a city tour of Copenhagen.
