Analogue Studies for Petroleum exploration

Field analogues studies in the Kangerlussuaq Basin (southern East Greenland) show the importance in unravelling sedimentology, reservoir architecture and compartmentalization/connectivity of interbedded siliciclastic and volcanic units. This approach integrated three disciplines from 3D-photogeology, sedimentology and petrography giving detailed information from kilometre to micrometre scale.
