GEUS provides data for the 8th oil and gas licensing round

The 8th licensing round in Denmark has opened June 26th 2018 for the area west of 6⁰15´W for the Danish part of the North Sea. GEUS is the national data archive and provides data for the interested oil and gas companies.

Information about released well data, including seismic surveying data etc. collected in connection with exploration and production activities is provided by the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland, GEUS.

All non-confidential well data and 2D and 3D seismic data can be accessed through the GEUS web shop Frisbee.

The areas offered for licensing are located in the Central Graben, where the majority of the producing Danish fields are located, and in the adjoining areas, further east bounded by the 6° 15’ E longitude. All unlicensed areas within the Danish sector west of the 6° 15’ E longitude are included in the license round.

The application period ends on 1 February 2019 at 12.00 CET.
