GEUS wishes to buy a variable pressure Field Emission Gun Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The new instrument must be suitable to be used for oil and gas reservoir studies, mining, and general geosciences applications, including the flexibility required for scientific research. GEUS has a strong focus on automated mineralogy analyses on both polished slabs of rocks and of loose particulate material; these techniques will therefore play a key-role in the new instrument as well. The new instrument must hold SE, BSE, EDS, EBSD and CL detectors.
SEM producers with automated mineralogy software products are invited to submit tenders. The tender material consists of the documents here below. The final date to submit is 16th May, 12:00 (local time), the deadline for answers to questions is the 10th May.
