GEUS gets new board of directors

GEUS will get a new board of directors on 1 January 2013. Professor Minik Thorleif Rosing is appointed chairman of the board.

Martin Lidegaard, minister of Climate, Energy and Building has appointed a new board of directors for the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). The board of directors takes up its duties on 1 January 2013, and its appointment period expires on 31 December 2016.

Professor Minik Thorleif Rosing has been appointed chairman of GEUS' board of directors, succeeding head physician, Doctor of Medicine, Per Buch Andreasen. Minik Rosing is a qualified geologist with extensive experience from his many years of geological research in Greenland. His work also includes communication of research to the public, and for several years he has been active in various research-related commissions, scientific councils and boards, also as a member of GEUS board of directors since 2005.
